Introducing single visit smiles at Clifton dental clinic with CEREC 3D

In many cases crowns inlays, onlays and veneers can be designed and made all in one visit – reducing the need for multiple visits, messy impressions and temporary crowns.

Here at Clifton dental clinic we are delighted to be one of only a handful of practices in  Scotland who are able to offer single visit ceramic restorations using CEREC 3d an in house  computer aided design system, - a camera is used to digitally scan your prepared tooth, this scan is used instead of  having an impression taken.

This information is then converted into a virtual model of your tooth upon which Dr Pirie will design your new CEREC restoration. 

Then at the touch of a button the design is sent to our in surgery milling unit and while you have a quick coffee your new CEREC restoration is milled and polished,

Before being simply cemented in place- with the entire procedure taking around 1 hour it is already proving very popular amongst our patients.
