Catriona graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2007 and spent the following 10 years working in hospital settings, gaining experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including treating dental, trauma and oncology patients.
She completed a postgraduate diploma in implant dentistry in 2018 and has since provided implant and general dental treatments.
She aims to provide a calm and supportive environment for patients, particularly those who feel anxious about dental treatment, and can discuss appropriate options such as sedation where suitable.

Ian qualified from Glasgow Dental School in 2010. He has worked in several practices across Glasgow and the West of Scotland before joining Clifton in July 2022. He regularly undertakes further education and training to support patient care.
He gained the MJDF diploma at The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2012, the Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Newcastle University in 2015, and a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Chester in 2019.
He has also undertaken additional training in clear aligner orthodontics, smile design and tooth whitening.
He aims to offer treatment in a relaxed and friendly environment, helping patients improve their oral health and smile.
Outside of dentistry, Ian enjoys spending time with his two young children and playing football for his local Sunday league team.

Clive has over 20 years of experience working in general dental practice, including providing dental implant treatment.
He was an early adopter of 3D digital imaging in Scotland, installing an iCAT CBCT scanner in 2005. Clive completed the FGDP Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2007.
Throughout his career, he has undertaken postgraduate dental education and has also been involved in teaching.
He values the use of technology and ongoing skill development and looks forward to applying these approaches in his work at the Clifton Clinic.

Lyall graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2013. He then completed his vocational training in the west end of Glasgow before moving into general practice.
Lyall became a member of the royal college of physicians and surgeons of Glasgow in 2018 and he has completed a Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Birmingham.
He also works part-time in Glasgow Dental Hospital providing endodontic treatment for patients referred by their general dental practitioners.
Lyall accepts referrals for non-surgical endodontic treatments and also welcomes new adult patients for general and restorative dentistry.
He aims to provide care in a relaxed and calming environment.

Dr Sharif qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2014 and completed his foundation training in Sheffield, followed by a year of dental core training in Aberdeen. During his time in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, he developed his surgical skills while working alongside experienced clinicians. He also gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow after successfully completing the MFDS examination.
Following his core training, Dr Sharif returned to general dental practice, focusing on surgical and cosmetic procedures. He later completed a Master’s degree in Dental Implantology at the University of Manchester, graduating with merit. His thesis examined the accuracy of digitally guided versus freehand implant placement techniques, reflecting his interest in precision and innovation.
Dr Sharif has a particular interest in complex aesthetic implant cases and is committed to delivering high-quality care with attention to detail. He is also involved in mentoring and teaching in implant placement and restoration. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his family. He welcomes new patients and values collaboration with referring clinicians.

Paulina graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2020 and completed her vocational training in Fort William, where she is originally from. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive and biomimetic dentistry, focusing on techniques that aim to preserve natural tooth structure and support aesthetic outcomes.
She is an Invisalign® provider and supports patients considering clear aligner treatment. As with any orthodontic treatment, suitability and outcomes vary between individuals.
Paulina is currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in full‑mouth reconstruction to broaden her planning and management of complex restorative cases.
Known for her calm and friendly approach, Paulina is committed to helping patients feel at ease and to working with them to develop personalised treatment plans aligned to their needs and goals.
Outside of dentistry, Paulina enjoys running, travelling, meeting friends and spending time with her family.

Fiona is a General Dentist who graduated with honours from the University of Glasgow in 2016, where she was awarded the Dean Webster Prize for most distinguished graduate. Since qualifying, she has worked in general practice in Glasgow.
She is committed to ongoing professional development and completed the MJDF qualification in 2018. Fiona has a special interest in endodontics (root canal treatment) and has undertaken additional training, including a PgDip in Endodontics through the University of Chester. She is able to see patients referred for non-surgical endodontic treatments within her scope of practice.
Outside of work, Fiona enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with her family.

Julie started working in dentistry in 1988 and trained as a dental nurse, gaining her qualification as a registered dental nurse (RDN) in 1995. She has worked predominantly in the private sector throughout her career.
Julie has many years of experience as a practice manager and has worked with organisations including Boots Dental Care and The Dental Clinic. During this time, she has supported clinicians across a range of services including general dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, cosmetic treatments and dental implants.
She has benefited from strong professional support and development opportunities throughout her career. As a practice manager, she aims to ensure patients receive a positive and well-organised experience.
Outside of dentistry, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Kerry is a dental hygienist and a member of our hygiene team, with experience working in clinical practice. She qualified at the Edinburgh Dental Institute and has also completed additional training in customer service.
Throughout her career, Kerry has worked in a range of dental settings, including general practice, orthodontics and cosmetic treatments. Her role includes supporting patients with the maintenance of dental implants.
Kerry takes a friendly approach and focuses on helping patients feel at ease in a calm and welcoming environment.
Outside of work, Kerry enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Since qualifying Susanne has worked for the NHS, commercial, private and hospital services.
Susanne also works in the hospital service in the specialist periodontal department and is involved in teaching Hygienist / Therapist students.
Susanne works for us part time.

Susan qualified in 1987 in Glasgow as a dental nurse and worked in an NHS practice for 18 1/2 yrs.
She has worked with us for 14 years supporting Dr Allan Pirie as an implant nurse.
Susan has a supporting role as part of the implant team hosting restoration events and coordinating hands-on courses for dental colleagues keen to learn about implants as an alternative option for their own patients.
Looking to the future Susan is keen to expand her knowledge of developing dental technology/techniques whilst providing a caring and relaxing atmosphere for our patients.
In her spare time Susan relaxes with yoga classes, going to the cinema/concerts and reading.

Dental Nurse

Brian is a dental nurse working widely within a surgical setting at Clifton dental and implant clinic, where he enjoys being involved in dental implants, sedation, bone augmentations along with a host of other surgical and general treatments.
Brian has worked at Clifton for several years and since joining has gone on to complete courses and get qualifications in Intravenous sedation, phlebotomy, Intravenous-cannulation among others.
Brian enjoys working within our busy clinic and takes joy in building good rapor with patients in all aspects of the patient journey within the practice.
In his spare time Brian enjoys running, going to the gym and travel.

Receptionist
Pauline has worked as a receptionist for 16 years. Pauline supports all colleagues within the business and takes accountability of all administration duties to help run an efficient reception desk.
When not at work Pauline likes going on holiday with her husband John and children; Jonathan and Christopher, she also enjoy going out for meals and movies with her husband.

Receptionist
Carla is part of our reception team and supports patient appointments and practice administration. With experience in hospitality and customer service, she helps ensure the smooth running of the reception area and aims to maintain a professional and welcoming environment. Her organisational skills and attention to detail assist in day-to-day operations.
Outside of work, Carla enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, and relaxing with a good movie or meal out.
